In the age of the Internet, Facebook, Instagram and Co., amateur radio is a hobby that is still fascinating. I have been a radio amateur on the band for around 35 years now. The medium of technology and radio has attracted me since I was 12 and there has always been a great deal of interest in communicating with people on other continents, countries and areas. Morse telegraphy and radio telegraphing are among the most beautiful ways for me to establish radio connections with little effort, as 100 years ago. But new, modern digital modes of operation such as image, voice and text transmission are now part of everyday life and enable almost limitless communication. The amateur radio hobby is so diverse that I myself can only use a small part. If you are also looking for contact with other people or cultures, maybe have a little technical interest or want to learn a language, then you have found the right hobby for you.

Haven't you already tried to connect the "HAM RADIO DELUXE" program and a transceiver to an SDR? As you may have noticed, it's not that easy. The task is to couple the transceiver (ICOM IC-7400) to the HRD software via the CI-V interface. At the same time, an SDR RSPduo should be connected via the SDRuno software or the SDR console. The solution presented here allows the HRD and SDRuno or SDR-Console programs to control the transceiver and the RSPduo synchronously. Here is my solution which you can download as a PDF!
